Football season is my favorite time of year. It incorporates my two favorite things – football and food!
Everyone has their favorite munchies for football and I certainly have mine. There are no set criteria for the perfect game time grub; it’s all based on what you like. If you’ve ever been to a friend’s house for the game, you’ll normally find the classic finger foods, dips, easy-to-eat dishes that don’t require utensils (unless you count chips as utensils) and don’t take a lot of time to make.
The best part about this blog is that I scoured the internet to find you some of my favorite recipes that will be gracing my table for kickoff. All you have to do is get the ingredients and throw ‘em together. No thought required! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the game.
Beer-Soaked Buffalo Wings (pictured above) – Really? These should be illegal they’re so good. You don’t have to ask me twice to soak my chicken wings in beer!

Greek Chicken Nachos – Everyone loves nachos, and this healthy-but-you’d-never-know-it twist could possibly be your new favorite way to make the layered party staple.

Taco Dip – If you forego making traditional nachos, this will make up for the missing Mexican flavor you crave. Tacos and dip in one dish – what could be better?

Bacon Wrapped Guacamole Poppers – Jalapeno poppers with a twist! We all know bacon makes everything better and this recipe is no exception.

Buffalo Chicken Pizza – Can’t decide on buffalo chicken wings and pizza? Well get crazy, put those two together and you’ve got a mix of the best football food around.

Cheesy Pepperoni Bread – Bite sized pepperoni pizzas! Need I say more?

Creamy Spinach Dip – I don’t know about you, but a party ain’t a party unless there’s spinach dip.

Butter Buddies – The name can be misleading, but these tiny treats are the perfect amount of sweet you’ll need to balance out the salty and spicy food you’ll be eating all day. Grab a handful and get ready for peanut buttery heaven.
What is YOUR favorite game time grub?

Well said, thanks for the tips/ideas! I will def have to jump on those Greek nachos asap…
Great blog as always Lexi! This should have a warning that reads “Don’t Read This If You Are Hungry!” because I almost ran some people over on the freeway on the way to lunch today after I read this. You truly have a gift of bringing words alive.
